Brianne Moulder, Co-Editor-in-Chief Move over Beyoncé, a new queen is coming to town. Taking her seat on a throne beside Beyoncé (a pedestal not easy to grace) is Jennifer Lawrence, a girl, who as of late, seems to be the most relatable face of fame. The Hunger Games star has everyone falling in love with her without even trying. From vines of her spilling mints at a press conference, to pictures of her captioned, “I’m thinking of pizza,” and of course her more serious role of allowing girls to see themselves as perfect without dieting, she is someone that everyone wants to be friends with. A lot of people feel she is the famous version of themselves, as fellow cast members call her out on having no filter, and who doesn’t have that issue every once in a while? While being PC is not one of Jennifer Lawrence’s many talents, the comedic phrases that fly from her mouth make her more memorable. Besides making everyone laugh, including her fellow cast members, Lawrence is truly a great role model for young women. Her examples range from, “It is okay to be weird,” to “Eat those fries, just be happy with yourself.” Whether you are Team Peeta or Team Gale, you are most certainly a Jennifer Lawrence fan. “She has a good presence and she is more grounded than other celebrities. You don’t hear about her getting into drugs or anything like that,” NHS senior Lauren Russo said. She has proven herself to be relatable, likable and unfazed by the norms of the red carpet world. She stays true to herself and that is something that anyone can admire. Jennifer Lawrence has also proven herself to be a fantastic actress, exceeding in many roles other than Katniss. NHS senior Michaela Guinea, a known Jennifer Lawrence fan tweeted, “When I grow up I want to be Jennifer Lawrence my major in college will be: How to be awesome in every situation.”
