P. Diddy Called to Court

Entertainer and fashion mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing five civil lawsuits some accusing him of rape, sexual abuse and sex trafficking since November of 2023.

Four women filed lawsuits within the last four months against the musician accusing him of sexual and physical abuse.

Combs has denied all of the allegations, and has not yet been formally charged by Federal prosecutors of any crime.

Producer Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones filed a related suit in February, alleging Combs abused him throughout a year-long period when he was in residence at Combs home working on music projects.

Agents from the U.S. Homeland Security raided two of Combs Properties , one located in Los Angeles the other in Miami on March 25  "as part of an ongoing investigation" into sex trafficking.

Accusations range over thirty years from 2023 back to the 1990’s, the beginning of Combs' career. Combs has denied all allegations against him.

Via a statement the rapper made in December, Combs defended himself from what he called "sickening allegations" created by "individuals looking for a quick payday."

Attorney Aaron Dyer has said the searches are,  “a gross overuse of military-level force” and “a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.” Comb’s attorney also mentioned Combs has not been arrested and is seen as innocent.

“I think that it is fair if he is proven guilty for specifically doing all of these accusations,” NHS sophomore Eva Ziemnicki said.

Two lawsuits were filed in the New York Country court. Both complainants alleged Combs raped them in the early 90s when he was producer at Uptown Records.

“This is shocking. I believe that he should be charged if there is enough evidence against him that proves he committed these actions,” NHS sophomore Zoe Petertonjes said.

Three lawsuits were filed through the Southern District of New York’s federal court alleging that Combs sexually assaulted them and trafficked or forced them to traffic others.

New lawsuits follow months after former partner of Combs, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura filed for a lawsuit against him on November 16.

Reported in the lawsuit, Combs would give Ventura ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine, marijuana, alcohol and other drugs in large amounts during parties.

The lawsuit alleges Combs had physically abused Ventura at these parties. During a Los Angeles hotel party in 2016 Combs was caught on hotel cameras having a fight with Ventura. Ventura claims Combs paid $50,000 to the hotel in order to obtain the security footage.

Last year Ventura accused Combs of raping, physically abusing her and demanding her to carry a firearm back in 2018. The lawsuit was settled for an undisclosed sum of money the day after being filed for.

A month following Ventura’s lawsuit another woman referred to only as Jane Doe filed a lawsuit alleging she had been coerced into flying from Detroit to New York to hang out with Combs in 2003 when she was 17. At this point, Combs was an established musician and publisher.

According to the lawsuit, once Jane Doe arrived at the studio, Combs, Harvey Pierre, and an unnamed assailant got her intoxicated and took turns raping her. She was later taken to the airport and flown back to Michigan.

“Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged,” Combs said in a statement in December.

Another lawsuit was filed in February by Rodney Jones, music producer who worked on Combs newest album, “The Love Album”. The lawsuit claims Jones was forced to, “solicit sex workers and perform sex acts to the pleasure of Mr.Combs,” from 2022-2023.

“Personally, I think it is shocking, I always want to think the best of people,” NHS Physical Education teacher Megan Goyda said.

According to the lawsuit, Jones believes Combs drugged him before these sexual encounters. Jones also alleged that Combs coerced him to enlist sex workers by assurance of money, property and career advancements as well as threatening physical harm.

“We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies,” Shawn Holley, Combs' attorney, told CNN.

According to Jone’s, underage girls were present at the sex parties, which took place at the Combs Mimi and New York properties as well as a rented yacht in the U.S Virgin Islands.

Various lawsuits allege that Combs filmed sexual encounters and shared them with others. Ventura and Jones claim the recordings were a part of the sex parties.

“I did not do any of the awful things being alleged, I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.” Sean Combs said in a statement.
