Pam Bondi testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee to respond to the questions that involved her and the Department of Justice. Bondi was set to answer questions about the Department of Justice and how it was run under her leadership. Democrats and Republicans have targeted each many times for using the DOJ for political gain for their respective parties. Democrats accused Bondi of giving Trump the keys to the DOJ to target and attack his political opponents.
"Many judges need to be removed, These judges obviously cannot be impartial. They cannot be objective.”Bondi said during an interview on Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle" show.
Republicans accused Biden and the Democrats' DOJ for illegally spying on Republicans and purposely targeting President Trump. Bondi’s testimony was to revise the DOJ and make sure that it is still fair and independent from the influence of political parties. Bondi is a former Florida Attorney General and good friends with President Trump.
"I wish you loved Chicago as much as you hate President Trump," Pam Bondi Said
Bondi became the US Attorney General in 2025 and was put in charge of the DOJ. Bondi is well known in politics as a Republican, her tough stance on crime and being very close with Trump's opinions. It is important that the DOJ keeps its independence because this ensures that justice is fair for everyone. If the DOJ is ever influenced by a political party it will damage the public trust of the United State’s legal system.
“I have been hearing a lot about Pam Bondi while working on the the election project for government and what she is doing is quite important and really shakes up the entire demeanor of the DOJ,” NHS senior Jack Dunford said
This hearing from Bondi matters because it could end up shaping the future of the DOJ and the United States legal system as a whole, whether it stays neutral or gets too involved in politics. Bondi’s purpose is to defend herself and the DOJ. Bondi is there to answer questions about how she runs the DOJ underneath Trump. She is going to defend herself against the accusations that she is letting Trump use the DOJ to go after the Democrats and more specifically former FBI director James Comey.
Bondi also told the Senate Judiciary Committee that Biden was doing the same thing to Trump and the Republicans. Bondi is not saying that what they are doing is wrong and she is also saying that the Democrats did the same thing, yet never got called out. Bondi is working hard to send a message to all the people calling her out and saying she is doing a poor job. She is making her own mark while defending Trump's reputation. She is saying Trump is in charge and the “two-tier justice system” is all over.
It is now the Republicans turn to fight back against what they are saying is unfair treatment. Bondi is doing her best to show her loyalty to President Trump and not let the critics get their way. Bondi believes she belongs in the DOJ and that it is being run fairly. Even though that lasting argument is that it is only being used for politics and for each party to win over the other party.
